DL101 - Check Vacuum at EGR Valve



This step checks if the EGR valve is receiving vacuum forcing it to open upon start-up.

- Disconnect and plug vacuum hose at the EGR valve.

- Start engine and let idle if possible.

- Will the engine start and idle normally?

Yes -- Inspect EGR Vacuum Regulator (EVR) vacuum hoses for correct routing. If OK, replace EVR solenoid. Reconnect all components. Clear continuous memory. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)

No -- Go to DL102. DL102 - Check For Stuck Open EGR Valve
