Normal Operation
The luggage compartment lid remote switch supplies a ground signal to the front electronic module (FEM). When the FEM receives ground via circuit 8-AA30 (WH/RD), the REM energizes circuit 29S-AA83 (OG/GN) and supplies voltage to the luggage compartment lid release solenoid.

Possible Causes
- DTC B1551 circuit 8-AA30 (WH/RD) failure
- circuit 8-AA30 (WH/RD) shorted to ground or open
- circuit 31-AA30 (BK/YE) open
- FEM
- luggage compartment lid remote switch
