Coolant Pump





Removal and Installation

1. Drain the cooling system.
2. Remove the thermostat housing.
3. Loosen the coolant pump pulley bolts.
^ Do not remove at this time.
4. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Fuel Delivery and Air Induction.
5. Remove the 3 bolts and the coolant pump pulley.
To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.), then rotate an additional 45 degrees.
6. Remove the 5 bolts and the coolant pump.
^ Remove and discard the coolant pump gasket.
^ To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.), then rotate an additional 90 degrees.
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Install a new coolant pump gasket.
8. Fill and bleed the cooling system.
