Test H: An Individual Button/Feature Is Inoperative From The Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Transmitter
PINPOINT TEST H: AN INDIVIDUAL BUTTON/FEATURE IS INOPERATIVE FROM THE REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY (RKE) TRANSMITTERNormal Operation
Remote locking and unlocking of the doors, activating the panic alarm, and releasing the luggage compartment latch is accomplished by the smart junction box (SJB) receiving a command message from the remote keyless entry (RKE) transmitter. The SJB processes the command and provides the appropriate output.
The SJB will disable the panic feature if the ignition key is in any position other than OFF or LOCK.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Door locks
- Horn system
- Luggage compartment lid release
- Turn signal system
- RKE transmitter
