Liftgate Alignment

1. Loosen the 4 liftgate hinge-to-liftgate bolts until the liftgate is able to move slightly.

2. Align the liftgate to the body.
- Align the liftgate gaps evenly.

- Be sure that the liftgate is flush to the body.

3. Tighten the 4 liftgate hinge-to-liftgate bolts.
- Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

4. Loosen the 2 liftgate striker bolts until the striker is able to move slightly.

5. Align the liftgate striker to the liftgate.

6. Tighten the 2 liftgate striker bolts.
- Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

7. For vehicles equipped with power liftgate, initialize the power liftgate. For additional information, refer to Power Liftgate Initialization Programming and Relearning.
