Wiper Mounting Arm and Pivot Shaft

Removal and Installation

1. Remove the cowl panel grilles.

2. NOTE: Make sure to align the wiper mounting arm pivot shaft mount to the body when installing the wiper mounting arm pivot shaft.
Remove the wiper mounting arm pivot shaft in the following sequence:

1. Remove the wiper mounting arm pivot shaft center bolt.
- To install, tighten to 24 Nm (18 lb-ft).

2. Remove the wiper mounting arm pivot shaft end bolts.
- To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).

- Detach the electrical wiring harness retainers and disconnect the electrical connector.






3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
