Water Pump: Service and Repair




Water Pump Replacement

1. Remove the right front wheel.

2. Remove the splash shield Splash Shield Replacement.

3. Drain the engine coolant Service and Repair.

4. Loosen the water pump pulley mounting bolts.

5. Remove the drive belt Service and Repair.

6. Remove the water pump pulley (A).






7. Remove the five bolts securing the water pump (A), then remove the water pump.





8. Inspect and clean the mating surface with the engine block.

9. Install the water pump with a new O-ring (B).

10. Clean up any spilled engine coolant.

11. Install the water pump pulley, and loosely install the water pump pulley mounting bolts.

12. Install the drive belt Service and Repair.

13. Tighten the water pump pulley mounting bolts.

14. Install the splash shield Splash Shield Replacement.

15. Install the right front wheel.

16. Refill the radiator with engine coolant, and bleed the air from the cooling system.
