3UZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: THROTTLE BODY:

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY






(a) Install a new gasket and the throttle body with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
Torque: 18 Nm (184 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf)
(b) Connect the 2 water by-pass hoses.
(c) Connect the ventilation hose.
(d) Connect the connector.






2. INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE
(a) Install the connector pipe with the bolt and 2 hose clamps.
Torque: 4.0 Nm (41 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf) for hose clamps
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf) for bolt
(b) Connect the air hose and No. 1 ventilation hose.
3. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET
(a) Install the air cleaner inlet with the bolt.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)






4. INSTALL V-BANK COVER
(a) Install the cover with the 2 clips.
(b) Install the 2 nuts.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)
5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.
NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

7. ADD ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

8. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS Testing and Inspection
