Power Outer Mirror Inspection

POWER OUTER MIRROR INSPECTION

Mirror Glass Adjustment (With Retract/return)

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the inner garnish. Inner Garnish Removal/Installation

3. Disconnect the power outer mirror connector.

4. Apply battery positive voltage and connect the ground to the power outer mirror terminals and inspect the power outer mirror operation.






- If the power outer mirror does not operate as indicated in the table, replace it. Power Outer Mirror Removal/Installation





With Heated Mirror

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the inner garnish. Inner Garnish Removal/Installation

3. Disconnect the power outer mirror connector.

4. Apply battery voltage to power outer mirror connector terminal A, and connect terminal B to ground.






- If not as indicated in the table, or if the resistance is not within the specification, replace the power outer mirror. Power Outer Mirror Removal/Installation






With Auto-dimming

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the inner garnish. Inner Garnish Removal/Installation

3. Disconnect the power outer mirror connector.

4. Verify that the continuity between power outer mirror terminal and the body ground is as indicated in the table.






- If not as indicated in the table, replace the power outer mirror. Power Outer Mirror Removal/Installation
