Preparation For Test

Preliminary Work:
Perform Diagnosis, Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Memory


Preparation for Test:
1. Fuses OK.
2. Battery voltage > 11 V.
3. Install model specific HHT module into HHT.
4. Connect the Hand-Held Tester (HHT) to X11/4, according to diagram. Connection and Use of Test Equipment - Section 0

Refer to Electrical wiring diagrams.

Multimeter 1) Fluke models 23, 83, 85, 87, 88

1) Available through the MBNA Standard Equipment Program.

NOTE: Location of Radio frequency DAS control module (N54/3) and DAS radio frequency/infrared control module (N54/4) is behind instrument cluster (A1), Model 170 shown

After reinstallation of the instrument cluster and the steering wheel, the DTC fault codes for the SRS Airbag are to be erased via the HHT.
