KF28 - Check LFC Power-to-Fan Circuit For Short to Power



Fan Control Connector View:






- Key "OFF".

- Low Fan Control (LFC) and High Fan Control (HFC) relay disconnected.

- Disconnect cooling fan.

- Key "ON".

- Measure voltage between LFC Power-To-Fan circuit at the cooling fan vehicle harness connector and battery negative post.

- Is voltage greater than 1.0 volt?

Yes -- Service short to power in LFC Power-To-Fan circuit. Reconnect all components. Re-evaluate symptom.

No -- Service short to power in HFC Power-To-Fan circuit. Reconnect all components. Re-evaluate symptom.
