Power Door Lock Actuator: Service and Repair



LOCK ACTUATOR REPLACEMENT - DOOR

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the door lock assembly.




2. Remove the anti-theft cover (3) from the door lock assembly (7).
3. Remove the 2 screws (6) securing the door lock actuator assembly (4) to the lock assembly (7).
4. Remove the 3 retaining clips (2) and the door lock bushing (1) from the lock assembly (7).
5. Remove the door lock actuator insulator (5) from the actuator assembly, if required.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the front door lock actuator insulator (5), if removed.
2. Install the door lock bushing (1) and the 3 retaining clips (2) to the lock assembly (7).
3. Install the door lock actuator assembly (4) to the lock assembly (7) and secure with the 2 screws (6).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the door lock actuator screws to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

4. Install the anti-theft cover (3) to the door lock assembly (7).
5. Install the door lock assembly.
6. Inspect the lock system for the proper operation.
