Engine Front Cover Disassemble

Tools Required

E-308 Seal Remover






1. Remove the crankshaft front oil (1) seal from the engine front cover (2) using the E-308.





Important: LE0 and LW2 engines only have an intake camshaft position actuator solenoid.



Important: The camshaft position actuator solenoid valve oil seals (1) must be discarded whenever the camshaft position actuator solenoids have been removed from the front cover (2).


2. Remove the camshaft position actuator solenoid seals (1) from the engine front cover (2).
Discard the seals





Important: The water pump seal (1) must be discarded whenever the water pump has been removed from the front cover (2).


3. Remove the water pump seal (1) from the engine front cover (2).
Discard the seal
