Center Mounted Brake Lamp: Service and Repair



High Mount Stop Lamp Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the headlining. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair)




2. Disconnect the center high mount stop lamp (CHMSL) electrical connector (3) from the CHMSL assembly (2).
3. Remove the CHMSL assembly to headlining retaining screws (1).
4. Remove the CHMSL assembly (5) from the headlining (4).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the CHMSL assembly (5) to the headlining (4).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the CHMSL assembly to headlining retaining screws (1).

Tighten the screws to 2.0 N.m (18 lb in).

3. Connect the CHMSL electrical connector (3) to the CHMSL assembly (2).
4. Install the headlining. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair)
