Liftgate Strut Replacement

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Liftgate Assist Rod Caution (Service Precautions).

1. Open and suitably support the hatchback door.
2. Unscrew and remove the gas support assembly from the hatchback door and the body.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the gas support assembly onto the hatchback door and the body and tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb in).
2. Close the hatchback door.
