Rear Compartment Lid Adjustment

Front-to-Rear, Side-to-Side




1. Loosen the rear compartment lid to rear compartment lid hinge retaining nuts (2). Repeat for opposite side.
2. Align the rear compartment lid (1) in order to achieve an equal gap of 2.25 to 3.75 mm around the rear compartment lid to the rear quarter panels.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Tighten the rear compartment lid to rear compartment lid hinge retaining nuts (2). Repeat for opposite side and tighten to 22 Nm (16 lb ft).

Up and Down Adjustment




1. Loosen the rear compartment lid hinge to rear quarter panel retaining bolts (1). Repeat for opposite side.
2. Align the rear compartment lid in order to achieve an equal gap of 5 to 7 mm from the rear compartment lid to the rear bumper fascia.
3. Tighten the rear compartment lid hinge to rear quarter panel retaining bolts (2). Repeat for opposite side and tighten to 22 Nm (16 lb ft).
4. Adjust the rear compartment overslam bumpers for flushness.
