Evaporative Emission Canister Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Disconnect the purge line hose (1).




2. Disconnect the fuel tank vent hose (2) from the charcoal canister.
3. Disconnect the charcoal canister filter sub-assembly from the charcoal canister.
4. Disconnect the fuel tank vent hose (1) from the charcoal canister.




5. Remove the 3 bolts (1, 2, 3) and charcoal canister assembly.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the charcoal canister assembly with the 3 bolts (1, 2, 3) and tighten to 19Nm (14 lb ft).




2. Connect the fuel tank vent hose (3) to the charcoal canister.
3. Connect the charcoal canister filter subassembly to the charcoal canister.
4. Connect the fuel tank vent hose (1) to the charcoal canister.




5. Connect the purge line hose (1) and tighten to 5.5 Nm (49 lb in).
