Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the console shift lever bezel. Refer to Console Shift Lever Bezel Replacement (Console Shift Lever Bezel Replacement).
2. Remove the ignition switch and lock cylinder assembly from the console to gain access to the lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition and Start Switch Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the bracket from the assembly.




4. Remove the ignition cylinder using the following steps:

1. Install the key into the key cylinder.
2. Turn the key to the Accessory position.
3. Push the locking tab (1).
4. Pull up on the key.

Installation Procedure




1. Slide the lock cylinder into the ignition switch housing.
2. Insure the lock tab on the cylinder is secure.
3. Install the ignition switch. Refer to Ignition and Start Switch Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Install the console shift lever bezel. Refer to Console Shift Lever Bezel Replacement (Console Shift Lever Bezel Replacement).
