Water Pump Removal and Installation

Removal

1) Disconnect negative (-) cable from battery.
2) Drain coolant. Draining
3) Remove accessory drive belt. Removal and Installation
4) Remove exhaust manifold cover. Exhaust System Components
5) Disconnect radiator outlet hose from water pump.
6) Remove water inlet pipe (2) from water pump (1).
7) Remove water pump (1) from cylinder block.






Installation

Water Pump Inspection

Reverse removal procedure for installation noting the following.

- Use new gasket and O-ring.
- Tighten water pump bolts to specified torque.

Tightening torque
Water pump bolt (a): 25 Nm (2.5 kgf-m, 18.5 lbf-ft)

- Refill cooling system. Refilling
