DESCRIPTION
If any of the following is detected, the ABS warning light remains ON.
* The skid control ECU connectors are disconnected from the skid control ECU.
* There is a malfunction in the skid control ECU internal circuit.
* There is an open in the harness between the combination meter and skid control ECU.
HINT
* When reading DTCs by SST (CHECK WIRE), if the ABS warning light remains on, troubleshoot by following the inspection flow.
* Techstream may not be usable when there is a malfunction in the skid control ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
For vehicles with rear differential locks, make sure that the rear differential lock switch is OFF before performing the following inspection procedure.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK DTC
(a) Check if the same DTC is output.
Result
B -- REPAIR CIRCUITS INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTCS
A -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT BATTERY
(a) Check the battery voltage.
Standard voltage:
11 to 14 V
NG -- CHECK OR REPLACE CHARGING SYSTEM OR BATTERY Testing and Inspection
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - COMBINATION METER)
(a) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the C10 combination connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU (IG1 TERMINAL)
(a) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (IG CIRCUIT)
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU (GND TERMINAL)
(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (GND CIRCUIT)
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
(a) Reconnect the skid control ECU connector.
(b) Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Perform Active Test of the combination meter using the Techstream Data List / Active Test.
OK:
The ABS warning light turns ON or OFF in accordance with the Techstream.
NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
OK -- REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Removal
7. REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Replace the combination meter Removal.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
8. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
(a) Reconnect the skid control ECU connector.
(b) Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Perform Active Test of the combination meter using the Techstream Data List / Active Test.
OK:
The ABS warning light turns ON or OFF in accordance with the Techstream.
NG -- REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- END
