Reassembly

ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: HOOD: REASSEMBLY

NOTICE:
* When installing the hood bulge protector, heat the hood bulge surface using a heat light.
* Do not heat the hood bulge excessively.






1. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Tie the string inside the wire harness grommet to the hood lock control cable assembly.





(b) Using the string, fit the hood lock control cable assembly into the wire harness grommet.

2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the hood lock control cable assembly.





(b) Engage the 2 claws and install the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.





3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE PROTECTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the hood lock control cable protector sub-assembly with the 2 nuts.





Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)

4. INSTALL HOOD SUPPORT

(a) Engage the 2 claws and install the hood stay holder.





(b) Install the grommet.





(c) Install the hood support.

5. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the hood lock control cable assembly.





(b) Install the hood lock assembly with the 3 bolts.





Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

6. INSTALL NO. 2 HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR Adjustments

7. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE Installation

8. INSTALL WASHER HOSE ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the claw and install the windshield washer hose joint.





(b) Connect the washer hose sub-assembly.





(c) Engage the 3 claws and install the washer hose clamps.





(d) Engage the 3 guides and install the washer hose.





(e) Connect the washer hose.

9. INSTALL WASHER NOZZLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the washer hose.





(b) Engage the 2 claws and install the washer nozzle sub-assembly.

10. INSPECT WASHER NOZZLE SUB-ASSEMBLY Testing and Inspection

11. INSTALL NO. 3 HOOD BULGE PROTECTOR (w/ Hood Bulge)

(a) When using a new hood bulge:

(1) Clean the hood bulge surface.

(2) Using a heat light, heat the hood bulge surface.

(b) When reusing the hood bulge:

(1) Using a heat light, heat the hood bulge surface.

(2) Remove the double-sided tape from the hood bulge.

(3) Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

(c) Install a new No. 3 hood bulge protector as shown in the illustration.

12. INSTALL NO. 2 HOOD BULGE PROTECTOR (w/ Hood Bulge)

(a) When using a new hood bulge:

(1) Clean the hood bulge surface.

(2) Using a heat light, heat the hood bulge surface.

(b) When reusing the hood bulge:

(1) Using a heat light, heat the hood bulge surface.

(2) Remove the double-sided tape from the hood bulge.

(3) Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

(c) Install 2 new No. 2 hood bulge protectors as shown in the illustration.

13. INSTALL NO. 1 HOOD BULGE PROTECTOR (w/ Hood Bulge)

(a) When using a new hood bulge:

(1) Clean the hood bulge surface.

(2) Using a heat light, heat the hood bulge surface.

(b) When reusing the hood bulge:

(1) Using a heat light, heat the hood bulge surface.

(2) Remove the double-sided tape from the hood bulge.

(3) Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

(c) Install a new No. 1 hood bulge protector as shown in the illustration.





Standard:





14. INSTALL HOOD AIR INTAKE GUIDE (w/ Hood Bulge)

(a) Engage the 4 claws to install the hood air intake guide to the bulge.





15. INSTALL HOOD BULGE (w/ Hood Bulge)

(a) Engage the 3 guides to install the hood bulge together with the intake guide.





(b) Engage the 3 clips.





(c) Install the 4 nuts.





16. INSTALL HOOD TO RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

(a) Engage the 7 clips to install the hood to radiator support seal.





17. INSTALL HOOD BUMPER CUSHION

(a) Rotate clockwise and install the 2 hood bumper cushions.





18. INSTALL CENTER HOOD CUSHION

(a) Engage the 2 center hood cushions.
