Removal





HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR (for 2AR-FE): REMOVAL

1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM Service and Repair

2. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

Removal

3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH

4. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT Removal

5. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE

(a) Remove the bolt.





(b) Disconnect the 2 connectors.

(c) Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the compressor assembly with pulley.





(d) Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

6. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for TMMK Made)

(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose sub-assembly from the compressor assembly with pulley.





(b) Remove the O-ring from the suction hose sub-assembly.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

7. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT SUCTION HOSE (for SIA Made)

(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant suction hose from the compressor assembly with pulley.





(b) Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant suction hose.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

8. REMOVE COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY WITH PULLEY

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.





(b) Using an E8 "TORX" socket, remove the 2 stud bolts and compressor assembly with pulley.





HINT
Leave the 2 stud bolts in the vehicle with the remaining in the compressor assembly with pulley.
