Oil System Capacity

Engine Oil Level, Checking

Test Conditions

The engine oil temperature is a minimum of 60 °C (140 °F).

The vehicle is on level ground.

After turning off the engine, wait a few minutes to allow the oil to flow back into the oil pan.

Test Sequence

- Pull out the oil dipstick, wipe it off with a clean cloth and reinsert it all the way in to the guide tube.

- Pull out the oil dipstick again and check the oil level.

a Area above the hatched field up to the MAX. mark: Do not add engine oil.
b Oil level within the hatched field: Oil can be added.
c Area from the MIN. mark up to the hatched field: fill with a maximum 0.5 liter of engine oil.
