Windshield Wiper System, Removing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)

• Pry Lever (80-200)

• Puller (T10369)

- Deactivate APP function. Refer to => [ Wiper Motor Alternating Park Position Function, Deactivating ] Wiper Motor Alternating Park Position Function, Deactivating.

- Let wiper run into rest position and then switch off ignition.

- Disconnect the battery. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Removal and Replacement.

When disconnecting and connecting the battery, always perform the work procedure as described in => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Removal and Replacement.

Remove the plenum chamber cover.

Remove the wiper frame with linkage and windshield wiper motor. Refer to => [ Wiper Frame with Linkage and Windshield Wiper Motor, Removing ] Wiper Frame with Linkage and Windshield Wiper Motor, Removing.
