Programming the Sensitivity of the Sun Sensor

Programming The Sensitivity Of The Sun Sensor

NOTE: The intensity of the sun affects the temperature in the passenger compartment. In order to maintain a stable climate in the passenger compartment, irrespective of the intensity of the sun, the ECC control module calculates the climate control based on the signal from the sun sensor (which indicates the intensity of the sunlight). The sensitivity to the sunlight can be programmed. This allows the calculation of temperature settings by the ECC control module to be adapted. This allows for climate control that can be adapted to the wishes of the driver. The sensitivity can be set in 7 stages from -4 to +2. The higher the value chosen, the more the control module compensates for the intensity of the sun. However, if the compensation is set too high, draughts may be felt in the passenger compartment when the blower fan speed increases slightly. The lower the setting chosen, the less the control module compensates for the intensity of the sunlight. If the setting selected is too low, the passenger compartment may become too warm when the intensity of the sunlight is high.

NOTE: The setting should only be changed if it is definitely the sun compensation that the customer is dissatisfied with.

- Ignition on
- Use the Programming function to read off and program the ECC control module. Programmable compensation is: between -4 and +2 in steps of 1

Make a note of the programmed sun sensor value Program as necessary.
