The brake system can be divided into following main components:

Wheel braking system
Hydraulic braking system
Parking brake system
ABS system, EBD and anti-spin/TRACS system

Certain components are located differently in the engine compartment depending on whether the car is left or right-hand drive.

The main systems consist of the following main components:

Wheel braking system

Front brake caliper and pad (1)
Front brake disc (2)

Hydraulic braking system

Brake fluid reservoir and level sensor (5)
Master cylinder (6)
Power brake booster overload relay (7)

Parking brake system
