Steering Column Lock: Service and Repair






Steering lock

Operation number: 64108-2

Note! Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential information is always correct.






Removal

Note! Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Caution! Make sure that the ignition key is in the ON position.

Note! If the steering column lock cannot be unlocked, the steering column / steering shaft must be replaced.

Remove the steering column. Refer to: Steering column Service and Repair.





Note! Maximum drilling depth 15 mm in the screws. Screw dimension M6.

Use: Ribbed cylindrical puller with corresponding nut.
Torque: M6, 10 Nm





Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure

Order applicable software for the steering lock. Programming and Relearning
