Ignition Timing: Adjustments

At slow idle and Before Top Dead Center, unless otherwise specified.

1986-87 models, disconnect and plug distributor advance hoses.

1988-90 1590cc, remove the main fuse box cover and jumper terminals Br and Br/BI.

1834cc, connect a jumper between the green and brown terminals of the light grey timing connector under dash.

2675cc, access the ignition timing adjuster in the control box by the brake master cylinder. Turn the screw on the unit to adjust timing. Rivets must be drilled from timing adjuster mounting to gain access to screw.
