Shift Interlock Switch: Testing and Inspection

1. Remove the front console.




2. Disconnect the parking pin switch 2P connector.

3. With the shift lever in "P" position and the PUSH BUTTON RELEASED, check that there is CONTINUITY between terminals 1 and 2.

4. With the shift lever in "P" position and the PUSH BUTTON PUSHED IN, check that there is NO CONTINUITY between terminals 1 and 2.

5. If necessary, replace the parking pin switch.




6. Remove the nut, then remove the parking pin switch.
