Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

Symptom Troubleshooting Index

If the self-diagnostic [D] indicator light does not blink, perform an inspection according to the table above.

NOTE:
- If a customer describes the symptom for code P1790 (3), yet the [D] indicator light is not blinking, P1706 (6), or P0725 (11), it will be necessary to recreate the symptom by test-driving, then rechecking the DTC.
- Sometimes the [D] indicator light and the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) may come on simultaneously. If so, check the PGM-FI system according to the DTC, then reset the memory by removing the CLOCK fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box for more than 10 seconds. Drive the vehicle for several minutes at a speed over 30 mph (50 km/h), then recheck the DTC.
