Installation

1. Valve stem oil controllers [20]
2. Valve springs [19]
- Using special tool J-39251 (spring compressor), or equivalent install each valve spring.
3. Spark plugs [18]
- Tighten each spark plug to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
4. Rocker arm [17]
- Tighten bolt to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
5. Camshaft [16]
6. Cylinder head cover [15]
- Tighten bolts to 8 Nm (69 inch lbs).
7. Timing belt [14]
8. Pusher [13]
- Tighten bolt to 19 Nm (14 ft. lbs.).
9. Timing belt cover [12]
- Tighten bolts to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
10. Oil cooler hose [11]
- Tighten oil cooler hose bracket bolts to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
11. Crankshaft pulley assembly [10]
- Use the special tool J-8614-01, or equivalent to hold the crankshaft pulley.
- Tighten center bolt to 167 Nm (123 ft. lbs.).
12. Fan pulley assembly [9]
- Tighten fixing bolt to 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.).
13. Power steering pump [8]
- Tighten pump fixing bolts to 56 Nm (41 ft. lbs.).
14. Generator drive belt [7]
- Engage and adjust.
15. Air Conditioning compressor drive belt [6]
- Engage and adjust.
16. Power steering pump drive belt [5]
- Engage and adjust.
17. Fuel hoses [4]
- Connect surely the hoses and install the bolts on the head cover.
18. Cooling fan assembly [3]
- Tighten fixing bolts to 8 Nm (69 inch lbs.).
19. Radiator upper fan shroud [2]
20. Common chamber [1]
- Tighten bolts and nuts to 24 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).
