REMOVAL

NOTE: Remove battery ground cable.

1. Air cleaner duct assembly
2. Accelerator pedal cable
- Disconnect from throttle body and cable bracket.
3. Vacuum booster hose
- Disconnect from common chamber
4. Connectors
- Disconnect from Manifold Absolute Pressure, Idle Air Control Valve, Throttle Position Sensor, Power Switch, Electronic Vacuum Sensing Valve (EVSV).
5. Throttle body
- Remove four fixing bolts.
6. Vacuum hoses
- Disconnect vacuum hoses on canister EVSV and Positive Crankcase Ventilation hose, Fuel Pressure Control Valve hose, Shift on the fly hose.
7. Ventilation hose bracket
- Remove fixing bolt on common chamber.
8. Exhaust gas recirculation valve assembly
- Remove three bolts on common chamber to disconnect Backpressure Transducer vacuum hose.
9. Bracket
- Remove three fixing bolts at backside of the common chamber.
- Remove fixing bolt at engine hanger bracket.
- Remove fixing bolt at auto transmission pipe bracket.
10. Common chamber
- Remove six bolts and two nuts.
- Remove the common chamber.

INSTALLATION
1. Common chamber [10]
- Tighten bolts and nuts to the specified torque.
- Bolts 24 Nm (17 ft. lbs.)
- Nut 24 Nm (17 ft. lbs.)
2. Brackets [9]
- Tighten bolts to 21 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
3. Exhaust gas recirculation valve assembly [8]
- Tighten bolts to 9 Nm (78 inch lbs.).
4. Ventilating hose bracket [7]
- Tighten bolts to 24 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).
5. Vacuum hoses [6]
- Connect vacuum hoses on canister EVSV and Positive Crankcase Ventilation hose, Fuel Pressure Control Valve hose, Shift on the fly hose.
6. Throttle body [5]
- Tighten bolts to 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.).
7. Connectors [4]
- Connect each connector without fail.
8. Vacuum booster hose [3]





9. Accelerator Pedal cable [2]
- Accelerator pedal cable adjustment:
a. Loosen the adjusting nut and lock nut.
b. Pull outer cable while fully closing the throttle valve.
c. Tighten adjusting nut and lock nut temporarily.
d. Loosen adjusting nut by three turns and tighten lock nut. Then, manually operating the throttle valve, make sure that the valve lever returns up to the stopper screw. If it does not reach the stopper screw, repeat from step a.
