Transmission Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

Preparation: Disconnect negative (-) battery cable.

1. Front console.
2. Selector lever assembly.
3. Wiring harness connector.
- Disconnect speed sensor harness connector from speed sensor.





4. Speed sensor.
- Remove one 10 mm screw and speed sensor with O-ring.

INSTALLATION
To install, follow the removal steps in the reverse order.
1. Speed sensor
- Inspect speed sensor O-ring. Replace if necessary.
- Install speed sensor assembly and 10 mm screw.
Torque: 9 Nm (78 inch lbs.).
2. Wiring harness connector
- Connect speed sensor harness connector to speed sensor.
3. Selector lever assembly
- Adjust shift lock cable.
4. Front console
Connect negative (-) battery cable.
