Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair
REPLACEMENT NOTE: Turn the crankshaft so that the No. 1 piston is at top dead center.
1.
Remove the timing belt.
2.
Remove the front intake and exhaust camshaft pulleys.
3.
Remove the back cover.
4.
Remove the Crankshaft Position/Camshaft Position
(CKP/CYP) sensor from the front cylinder head.
5.
Install the
CKP/CYP sensor in the reverse order of removal.
