Torque Specifications

Tightening Sequence:

Tighten the cylinder head bolts sequentially in two or three steps.
Apply clean engine oil to the bolt threads and washer contact surfaces.
In the final step tighten to 96 Nm (71 ft. lbs.)

NOTE: The manufacturer recommends using a beam-type torque wrench. When using a preset-type torque wrench, be sure to tighten slowly and not to over-tighten.

















Intake Manifold:
Chamber Nuts 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.)
Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe 12 Nm (107 in. lbs.)
Mounting Bolts 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.)
Intake Manifold Plate Bolts 12 Nm (107 in. lbs.)
Top Cover Bolts 12 Nm (107 in. lbs.)
