Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

Variable Induction Control Valve: Testing and Inspection

Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) Valve Inspection

NOTE: Do not adjust the IMRC adjusting screw (A).

1. Check for the clearance between the stopper (B) and the screw (A). It should be no clearance.
- If there is a clearance, check and adjust the IMRC actuator cable.
- If still there is a clearance after adjusting the IMRC actuator cable, the linkage may be stuck. Remove the intake manifold then check the IMRC valve.
