Tightening Specifications

Cylinder Head Bolts








First step 29 Nm (3.0 kg-m, 22 lb-ft)
Second step Tighten 90°
Third step Tighten 90°
Final step: If new bolt Tighten 90°

Cylinder Head Bolt Inspection





Measure the diameter of each cylinder head bolt at point A and point B.
Install new bolt if either diameter is less than 11.3 mm (0.445 in).

Tighten each bolt two turns at a time in the sequence shown to ensure that the rockers do not bind on the valves.
