Heater Core Case: Service and Repair
Heater/fresh air housing, removing/installingWork sequence
- disconnect battery ground strap
- drain coolant by pulling off hose from radiator save coolant for reuse
- pull off coolant hoses for heat exchanger (left and center arrows)
- detach cable for heater valve (right arrow)
- remove console
- remove left and right covers below dashboard
- pull off fresh air/heater control knobs
- pull off trim plate
- loosen screws (arrows) for fresh air/heater controls
- remove screws (arrows} for center cover
- remove air ducts (arrows)
- remove retaining spring (arrows)
- detach cowl for air plenum
- remove heater/fresh air housing (arrows)
