Airflow sensor plate height adjustment

Note Two methods of sensor plate height adjustment have been used in production; by bendable wire clip and by setscrew.

Checking, either method

> - upper edge of airflow sensor plate must be below lower edge of venturi
^ a = 1.9 to 3.0 mm (0.075 to 0.12 in.)

If NO adjust as follows using the appropriate procedure





Adjusting, using setscrew

- remove upper section of air filter housing including filter element
- raise airflow sensor plate > - adjust airflow sensor plate using setscrew (arrow)

Note Try to obtain the lower specification (1.9 mm) if possible.

CAUTION
Do not scratch surface of air flow venturi during adjustment. Do not bend leaf spring.





Adjusting using bendable clip

> - remove upper section of air filter housing including filter element
- raise airflow sensor plate
- adjust air flow sensor plate height by bending wire clip (arrow)

Note Try to obtain an adjustment value close to the (1.9 mm) range if possible.

CAUTION
Do not scratch surface of air flow venturi during adjustment. Do not bend leaf spring.
