Air Bag Control Module: Service and Repair

Removing and installing airbag triggering unit

WARNING: Airbag power supply connector and battery ground strap must always be disconnected be fore working on the airbag or related systems.

CAUTION: Always obtain radio security code before disconnecting battery Ground (GND) strap.




- Disconnect battery GND.
- Remove center console.
- Remove nuts (arrows).
Tightening torque: 6.0 Nm
- Disconnect 10 pin multi-pin connector at electronic box.
- Remove triggering unit.

- Install all components in reverse order of removal.
