Front Door Window Motor: Service and Repair

Removing


NOTE: Window regulator motor may be removed with door component carrier installed.


- Remove door trim panel.





- Remove Torx screws (arrows).
- Disconnect 2- point electrical connector.
- Carefully pry out motor, as shown.





Checking
- Connect motor to a fused 30 amp external power supply and check by operating motor in both directions.

Installing
- Press motor onto window regulator.
- Tighten mounting screws diagonally.
Tightening torque: 4.5 Nm (40 in lb)

Install all other components in reverse order of removal.
