Rear Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair

Removing
- Lower window half-way.
- Remove door trim panel.
- Disconnect electrical connector to window regulator motor.
- Remove door component carrier.
- Lay component carrier on padded table.
- Remove regulator mounting screws.
- While holding glass and regulator in place, turn over carrier.
- Using small screwdriver push locking clip -1- up and out of notch on bolt -4-.





- Remove washer -2-.
- Carefully raise and hold door glass.
- Remove regulator from securing clip, and pull out from bottom.

Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
- Stick washer (rubber) -3- onto guide bolt -4-.





Apply small amount of grease to secure washer in place when installing.
- Install regulator from below, and guide onto door glass with guide bolt -4-.
- Install locking clip -1-.
- Lightly tighten mounting screws.
- Turn component carrier over and tighten mounting screws. Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7 ft lb)
