FUNCTIONAL CHECK OF MIL

- Switch ignition on

^ MIL must light up

If the MIL does not light with the ignition switched on and the engine off, check the wiring according to the wiring diagram or replace the bulb.

- Start engine and let idle

^ MIL must not be lit after several seconds

If the MIL stays lit after the engine has been started, read the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory.
