Blower Motor: Service and Repair

Fresh air blower removing and installing

Removing and installing fresh air blower -V2-

Remove glove box, refer to Body and Frame/Interior Trim/Glove Compartment/Service and Repair Service and Repair






Mark wires and disconnect from fresh air blower.
Remove four screws -A-.
Loosen blower motor (and mounting plate) from heater box.
Disengage three rubber bushings -B-.
Remove mounting plate and blower motor from heater box.






Remove connector assembly -A- by turning mounting plate in direction of arrow.
Remove blower motor.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal noting the following:

Spray three rubber bushings -B- with silicone before installing.
Coat sealing surface of mounting plate with silicone rubber sealant before installing.
Place blower motor in heater box, then install mounting plate over blower motor.
Rubber bushings -B- must lock into mounting plate

Note: If necessary, reach through fresh air intake duct to hold blower motor from moving.
