Brake Bleeding: Service and Repair

To bleed brake system, use bottle with a transparent hose attached so that brake fluid can be checked for air bubbles.
1. Connect brake filling and bleeding tool US 1116 or equivalent per manufacturers instructions.
2. Bleed brakes in following sequence:
a. On models w/ABS, bleed master cylinder, then the proportioning valve.
b. Bleed right rear caliper, left rear caliper, right front caliper, then left front caliper.
c. On models w/height sensitive brake pressure regulator, press regulator lever firmly towards rear axle when bleeding rear calipers.
