This bulletin describes troubleshooting with ABS tester VAG 1710 together with adapter VAG 1710/1.

^ With the ABS tester VAG 1710, the ABS system can be tested in 6 test steps without the need of a brake dynamometer.

^ The coding switch in the adapter cable VAG 1710/1 adjusts the ABS tester to model-specific wiring.

^ The ABS Control Module is equipped with a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Memory. Therefore, first read the DTC Memory.
