Test Sequence

Important: Refer to Pre-Test Requirements - "Test Requirements:"

- Read DTC Memory with Scan Tool VAG 1551, see Repair Manual, Group 01.
- Lift vehicle until all wheels can be moved freely.

Note:
^ Gear shift lever in neutral "IN" for automatic transmissions

^ Differential lock not engaged, all wheel drive only

^ Parking brake not engaged

- Switch ignition off





- Separate connector to ABS Control Module J104 and connector to harness of tester VAG 1710

- Adjust coding switch on adapter cable VAG 1710/1 for this vehicle

CAUTION!

^ Do not drive with test equipment connected

^ Do not test the braking system on a brake dynamometer.







Note:
^ ABS Warning Light K47 lights up when ignition is on in test steps 1 to4and6

^ If the LED on the ABS tester (LED 1) goes out during the ABS testing, check voltage supply to the ABS Control Module J104
