VAG 1551 Scan Tool Connecting

VAG 1551 SCAN TOOL (ST), CONNECTING

- switch ignition off

- connect adaptor harness VAG 1551/1 to Data Link Connectors (DLC's) on fuse/relay panel in left plenum as follows:

^ black test lead of VAG 1551/1 to black DLC

^ white test lead of VAG 1551/1 to white DLC

Note:
The blue VAG 1551/1 test lead is not used during Airbag II system OBD.

- connect adaptor harness VAG 1551/1 to VAG 1551 Scan Tool (ST)

- watch display readout




modes 1 (Rapid data transfer) and 2 (Blink code output) appear alternately
