Sunroof Panel Removing and Installing

SUNROOF PANEL






1 - Seal
Installing:
Coat inside of metal flange with adhesive D 002 100
Trim both ends of seal

2 - Trim plate

3 - Tension spring

4 - Roof panel hinge

5 - Rubber spring

6 - Leaf spring

7 - Tensioning spring packing 30 x 100 mm (1.18 x 3.94 in.)

8 - Tensioning spring packing 30 x 100 mm (1.18 x 3.94 in.)

9 - Rubber stop

10 - Adhesive tape
Holds spring in position


Sunroof Panel, Removing and Installing






Removing:

Tilt sunroof panel and press tilt flap -1- downward.

Unhook both tension springs -2- out from tilt flap.






Note: A self-manufactured hook is suitable for this procedure. Length -a- = 300 mm (12 in.).






Reach into tilt flap recess and unclip trim -3- by pushing back from front guide.

Do not lift up tilt flap too far, otherwise it will hit water drain plate

Close sunroof panel.






Remove securing bolts and nuts.


Installing:






Make sure rear guide and guide plate are in "Neutral" position.

Arrows on guide plate -1- and rear guide -2- must align

Water drain plate must be engaged in guide rails on both sides






If holes in guide plate do not align with holes in roof panel:

Loosen Phillips-head screws on right and left.

Shift guide plate accordingly.






Install mounting screws (between guide plate and roof panel).

Loosely install Phillips-head screws.

Adjust roof panel.
