Seat Belt, Removing and Installing

- Remove seat from vehicle.
- Remove screws (arrows).





- Remove screws (arrows) from bottom of seat.





- Pull cover -1- toward front out of retainer.

When installing, make sure that retaining tabs are locked in place





- Slide cover -1- toward rear, up out of guide pin and remove.
- Disconnect switch from cover -1-.
- Pry off cap and remove screw (arrow).





- Remove screw from cover.





Installation note:
To install cover, insert male tabs into female guides (slots), located on inside of cover, and lock on to seat frame.





- Remove self-locking bolt (arrow).




- Screw is self-locking and must be replaced.
- Tightening torque: 50 Nm (37 ft lb)
- When removing and installing, counter hold with locking pawl at tubular cross bar).
- Remove belt mounting bracket -1- upward from between seat cushion and back rest frame.





NOTE: Remove back rest cover before continuing with disassembly.


- Pull seat belt -1- through opening in back rest cover -2- and remove cover from top.





- Remove bolts (2x) for mounting pyrotechnic seat belt tensioner -3-.
Tightening torque: 5 Nm (44 in. lb)
- Remove screws -1- (3x) and cover -2-.





- Remove screws (arrows) and remove cover -1-.





- Remove bolts -4-.





- Disconnect terminal -2- from harness connector.
- Remove harness connector -3-.
- Remove seat belt tensioner unit -1- from rubber grommet.
- Remove bolts (arrows) from flexible shaft connector.





- Disconnect flexible shaft from plastic clips.
- Remove bolt -1-.



Tightening torque: 25 Nm (18 ft lb)
- Remove Torx(R) screws -3- (2x).
Tightening torque: 5 Nm (44 in. lb)
- Remove seat belt roller -2- from back rest frame then remove pyrotechnic seat belt tensioner and flexible shaft.
- Install in reverse order of removal.
